"Best Immersive Tech Project for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction" at Virtual Reality Hackathon in San Francisco, CA 2016.
There were 2 teams in the rooms with a similar idea: use VR technology to create your own home. I decided to join the team that believed design would make a difference, even though the other team had cooler technology and more developers. I turned their idea into a consumer service that would generate business profit and experimented to find the right interactions of the product. We were only 3 people, Daniel lead rockstar developer and Yan also unity developer, so I assisted with 3D assets and branding.
Decco is a virtual reality application that allows people to build their homes, then select and arrange furniture from selected vendors like IKEA to customize and purchase.
We won the challenge.
