COder Con

Challenge
Coder Con is a education themed mini-hackathon hosted by Heroku and Coder Central, non-profit dedicated to providing 5th - 12 grade students technical and business skill, experience, and mentorship. We had to help kids engage in their own education.

Process
It was a single day hackathon. I joined 2 developers, one back-end and a front-end (angular). I proposed the service concept design, the website's architecture and flow. I developed the basic website's structure and stylesheets.

Design
LifeSkills is a digital service where kids can connect their hobbies to their academic growth and be rewarded for it. Projects are reviewed by teacher's and awarded as contributions to their skills development. See github.

Outcome
We won the challenge.
